Tribe Sky Beach Club Bangkok: Rooftop Pool, Activities & Visiting Guide at EmSphere

Tribe Sky Beach Club is set as an unusual seaside-themed place within the busy Sukhumvit district in Bangkok. Situated on the fifth floor of the EmSphere Mall, the area covers roughly 1,000 square metres and includes an infinity pool that looks toward Benchasiri Park and parts of the city’s skyline, giving a view into the centre of the capital.

The location is at 628 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Tan, and it is only a short walk, around two minutes, from the BTS Phrom Phong station, which makes it convenient for many people who stay or work nearby. Guests often visit for quiet hours beside the pool, music playing through the afternoon, and for the unusual feeling of being in a beach-like surrounding even though it stands in the middle of tall buildings.

Fun Fact About Tribe Sky Beach Club

A small but notable feature of Tribe Sky Beach Club is the “Tribal Totem,” a wooden structure about five metres tall, carved by craftsmen from the area. During full-moon evenings, visitors often tie coloured ribbons on it, each carrying a short wish or thought. On one occasion in 2024, the number of ribbons went beyond five hundred, and the whole piece appeared almost like a canopy of mixed colours. This scene was widely shared online, and since then many people come mainly to place their own ribbon on the totem.

History of Tribe Sky Beach Club

The history of Tribe Sky Beach Club goes back to the early 2020s, when Bangkok began encouraging malls to include leisure spaces rather than only shops. EmSphere Mall opened toward the end of 2023 as part of the larger One Bangkok development, and the club started operating a little later, in the first months of 2024. It was created through a partnership between local investors and a few people who had experience in managing clubs abroad, with the idea of bringing a beach-type atmosphere to a city that has no coastline nearby.

The design took a short period, roughly half a year, and included several elements brought from outside Thailand, such as imitation sand flooring and a number of palm trees to give a faint sense of a holiday setting. When it opened, the club benefited from the rise in visitors returning to Bangkok, and more than five thousand people came during its initial week, helped by social media mentions and casual recommendations.

As EmSphere continues to position itself as a broader cultural place, the club remains one of its more active spots, with intentions to add occasional themed events such as silent dance gatherings. The management also tries to keep some environmental touches, including reused decorative pieces and lighting powered by small solar units.

Things to Do at Tribe Sky Beach Club

Tribe Sky Beach Club includes a number of simple activities that suit both quiet daytime hours and the livelier atmosphere that comes later in the evening.

Sunrise and Sunset Viewing:

During early morning, a gentle light spreads across Benchasiri Park, and many guests prefer to sit by the pool with a cup of coffee while the city is still not so busy. In the evening, usually around sunset, the sky often turns in soft pink and orange shades behind the tall buildings. On certain days, live saxophone music is played, and people gather near the pool edge to watch the light change.

Pool Lounging:

The infinity pool, stretching across the rooftop, gives the sense of water running directly toward the city below. Visitors can swim or simply rest on the nearby daybeds. From this height, it is also possible to see the movement in the park area, which creates a small contrast between the calm of the pool and the activity on the ground.

Cocktails and Drinks:

The bar prepares a wide range of drinks, some with local ingredients added for a slight twist. On weekends, short mixology sessions are sometimes held, where participants can try making their own drinks under guidance. These sessions tend to attract guests who enjoy learning small techniques rather than only ordering from the counter.

Dining:

Food options combine Mediterranean-inspired dishes with Thai flavours. Some selections are prepared with ingredients purchased from surrounding markets in the mall. There are also choices suited for vegan visitors. A few desserts, including variations of local sweets, are offered in the evenings and are quite popular with groups who stay through sunset.

Night Dancing:

After nighttime begins, the atmosphere becomes more energetic. DJs usually play house or electronic music, and the rooftop changes into a small dance area lit with coloured lights. On certain Fridays, fire performers appear for short shows. Guests who prefer a more private atmosphere can reserve sections, though many simply stand near the pool to enjoy the music.

Wellness Activities:

On some mornings, yoga classes are organised facing the park, giving a view of the greenery during practice. There is also a short sound-bath session available in one of the quieter cabanas, intended for visitors looking for a slower, reflective break from the city noise.

Best Time to Visit Tribe Sky Beach Club

November to February

These months usually bring cooler temperatures, and the pool area feels pleasant throughout most of the day. Sunsets often appear clearer at this time of year. Since it is the high season, more visitors tend to arrive, so arranging seats or beds a little in advance is generally advised.

March to May

The weather becomes warmer, with afternoons sometimes feeling quite hot. Many guests prefer to come either early in the morning or later in the day when the heat begins to settle. Midweek visits usually see fewer crowds, and some venues in the mall area may adjust their rates slightly during this period.

June to October

This is the monsoon period, when short rain showers occur, although they often pass quickly and the rooftop spaces dry soon after. The atmosphere is calmer, and visitors find more room around the pool. Stormy skies around sunset can create dramatic colours, which many people enjoy photographing.
