The Upanishads are ancient Sanskrit texts that form the philosophical core of Hinduism. They shift the focus from outward rituals to inward spiritual realization. Their central message is that the individual soul (Atman) and the ultimate, universal reality (Brahman) are one and the same.
These texts form the final part of the Vedas and are often referred to as Vedanta ("the end of the Vedas"). They explore the nature of consciousness, the cosmos, karma, and the path to spiritual liberation (moksha).
