King Solomon's Mines is an 1885 classic Victorian adventure novel by H. Rider Haggard. It follows Allan Quatermain, a hunter and explorer, who leads an expedition into uncharted Africa to find a wealthy man's missing brother and discover the fabled diamond mines. It birthed the "lost world" genre.
